March 2008- So, as many of you know, we had to postpone our tour for Fall but we miss you all dearly and will be back soon enough. Other duties await in the interim including finishing the last three songs to round out the A Day Without Disaster EP to a full length. Wendy and I are also foster parenting for the next 18 months! Yowza!
December 2007 - Our new 10" ep "A DAY WITHOUT DISASTER" from Italian label A Silent Place has finally landed on our shores. There is a limited gold vinyl edition available for early birds as well. We're planning further travels for 2008 and more recording to be announced shortly. Thanks to all who have been so supportive this year, we know we've been missing in action for some months but it will be worth the wait when we return to the stage, we promise. We have a few new tricks up our sleevs this time around. Wait and see...

May 2007 - So we've returned in whole once again from the wonderful continent of Europe. It was an amazing journey and we were honored to be joined by our friend Christof Certik on the guitarra e mandolino. Thanks so much to Antonino, Luca, Pierpaolo e Pasquale, Alberto Terrile, Morena in Faenza (we had a splendid and worldly time), Gino (thanks for coming to the Clandestino, it's nice to put a face to the pen), the beautiful friends in Tarcento, Joseluis, Ana in Barcelona, Jaime Casas, Pocket Coffee, Autogrill and everyone else who we met along the way.
Also, there is the "A Day Without Disaster" 10" ep coming later this year on our friends' label, A Silent Place, to be followed shortly thereafter by a CD version.

January 2007 - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We've just begun and already so much is on our plate for this year. Firstly, record announcements: We're working with a side-project called Icon Tracks & The Ungodly Seer which has a record slated for release later this year on a beautiful label called The Lotus Sound out of the mystical southwestwern deserts of New Mexico. We're also collecting our thoughts together for another Young Elders record for late 2007 or early 2008 though it's still in the smoky stages. On top of all of this we are working out some fun deals with friends in Europe to have some exclusive EP material, comp tracks and vinyl releases which will all be announced in short time. Wendy is hard at work on some new boutique releases which have pretty much dissapeared before appearing due to pre-orders. AND AND AND we are heading back to the continent in March and April to see friends and make new ones...and play a whole bunch of shows while we're at it. Two weeks in Italy plus some Spanish and Dutch dates after that. We'll be travelling not only as core duo Nick & Wendy but also with the aid of nimble-fingered stringman Christof Certik, of the lovely Los Angeles group Winter Flowers, to round out our trio. PLUS, there's more: we'll have a few tour-only limited-release goodies for sale at these shows.
November 2006 - OK, Spain is amazing, it's Beatle-mania over there. Thanks to Noemi, Jose Luis, Cedric and the whole Acuarela crew. I had fun meeting Matt E., Warren, Toko, and Andrea as well. Castellon is a magical place. Just before that though Ryan and I had a wonderful journey through the old streets of Holland. Thanks so much to Chris, Hans and Johan for making it possible. We had so much fun seeing Bill, Sue and Randy out there; it was wild to see you Friday Harbor folks appear out of nowhere like that!! (Don't let happen to you what happened to Nixon at Bohemian Grove. I don't want to hear about you guys rolling out of a canal at 6am after some insane coffeeshop binge.) In a few weeks we will be in Big Sur with our Friend Aaron from The Moon Upstairs sitting in on trap-kit as well as a few other friends guesting on some tunes. It'll be real fun. Firstly though is the much anticipated Tanned Tin Festival on the Mediterranean coast in Spain on Nov 11th. Much love to Elly & Rikkert, Boudewijn De Groot, Tortilla, Tail Toddle, Zjef Vanuytsel, Jan Duindam, Chimera and the rest of the canon. Jan at Record Palace: we love you! Flesch Records: we love you, thanks for the tea, wine and beer!! Barry and Maurice at VPRO: we really love you! Nihilist Spasm Band: we love you but...what about me (thanks for letting us sit around and soak up the atmosphere during your radio set)!?!
